I realize that I’m once again straying a bit from my mission with this blog, but I just can’t help myself today.
New York Magazine’s Grub Street blog has a great idea for New Yorkers struggling to make a decision in the Presidential election.
The famed NY bakery,
Zaro's, is selling black-and-white cookies bearing the faces of the presidential and the vice-presidential candidates — take a look at the picture. According to Grub Street, the photos are printed on rice paper using inkjet printer cartridges that have been loaded with food coloring. Is that possible?
Anyway, the cookies sell for $3.25 each, in case you want to spend your tax dollars on a cookie bearing an uncanny likeness to Sarah Palin. Grub Street says some people have been buying the cookies just to spit on them and then trash them. Now
there’s an idea.
This country never fails to amaze me.
